In order to be able to participate in the Formula 2 championship, it was necessary for Ferrari to mount (and sell) 500 of-the-race engine derivatives in street-legal production cars’s. The Ferrari Dino 206 (and later the 246) and Fiat Dino 2000 (and later the 2400) were born from this cooperation. Both of these are equipped with the same engine and Ferrari was guaranteed to participate in this prestigious championship. The Fiat Dino’s was not good at quality. Rust sensitivity and (electronic) disturbances were only two of the plagues that plagued this model. However, the fantastic technique, the racing engine and the driving pleasure soon forget this. Many problems disappeared with the transition from 2000 to 2400, which made a great leap in the right direction. Only few copies of the Fiat Dino are still there and that makes this Fiat Dino 2400 a rare appearance with potential value increase.
